We know first hand that creatives, no matter the industry, have to fight for fair pay. At Secure The Bag Financial Wellness Summitt, you'll learn directly from innovators leading the way, so you can reimagine what's possible when it comes to negotiating rates, breaking in at your favorite companies, and building generational wealth.
Color Vision was established by Mia Davis as a woman-led empowerment organization in 2017 with a mission to improve fairness and equity in creative industries. Its aim is to support women of color with training, mentorship and scholarships to gain access to equal opportunities in employment, business, and higher education.
Black women make just 61 cents for every dollar a man earns, compared to the 82 cents per dollar wage gap for women of all races combined. In other words, a Black woman has to work until age 86 to make the same amount of money a man earns by age 60. Black women carry most of America's student loan debt yet are paid less for earning an advanced degree. This interactive session will feature  panelists giving tips from their own stories of how to build generational wealth & secure their financial futures in creative industries and beyond.Â
